2025 AGM Motions Passed

The LSE UCU has passed six motions at its 2025 Annual General Meeting (AGM).

Motion 1: Reclaiming School governance

Calls for restoring democratic, transparent, and representative governance at LSE by reinstating staff and student seats on Council and protecting Academic Board oversight. Read the motion (PDF).

Motion 2: Protecting job and academic freedom for Research and Policy Staff

Motion 3: Building pathways to permanence for fixed-term staff

Motion 4: Fair deal on redundancy pay for all staff

Motion 5: Supporting trans rights and promoting trans inclusion following For Women Scotland

Affirms support for trans and non-binary rights, opposing the 2025 Supreme Court ruling restricting legal recognition and calling on LSE to maintain trans-inclusive policies and facilities. Read the motion (PDF).

Motion 6: Endorsing this year’s edition of the ‘Assets in Apartheid’ report and reaffirming support for divestment
